By our friends at Alliance for a Healthier Generation
The Alliance for a Healthier Generation has launched the new campaign, Active Students, Active Minds. Research shows when kids are physically active, they perform better academically, behaviorally, and have better attendance. This campaign allows the Alliance’s Healthy School Programs schools to do simple classroom breaks with an opportunity to win a prize.
Each week, schools will receive 2 classroom breaks/activities (one for elementary, one for middle and high school) and a bonus activity. Schools that register their colleagues in the Healthy Schools Program and share “how they are moving” on social media will be eligible for one of two prizes, donated by SPARK and GoNoodle. The Active Students, Active Minds digital marketing campaign is applicable to any school staff member, including school and district administrators, who would like to increase students’ focus and brain power in the last stretch of the school year. If your school is not yet registered for the Healthy Schools Program, register here.
