Don’t Forget: Webinar on Social Media is TODAY will share strategies for effectively using social media to spread information about the benefits of healthy living during a webinar scheduled for 2 p.m. EST today.

Co-hosted by our friends at the Office of Minority Health Resource Center at the Department of Health and Human Services, the webinar Social Media and Blogging for Health Promotion will look at why social media is such a powerful tool. Speakers also will share tips for cutting through the noise on social media channels such as Twitter and Facebook.

Scheduled speakers include Sunny Young from the Food Family Farming Foundation, April White from the Food Trust and Beth Kimberly from Playworks. Joanna Blonska from the Office of Minority Health Resource Center will join's Rebecca Frank to moderate the event, which is scheduled to last about an hour.
