Third of Americans Have Prediabetes, Per Study

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released a new study that shows nearly one-third of Americans have prediabetes. How many does this affect? More than 84 million people.

CDClogo2.JPGOf the 84 million, as many as 90 percent are not aware they are prediabetic. To help raise awareness, the CDC, with the help of the American Medical Association (AMA) and American Diabetes Association (ADA), have created an awareness campaign called DoIHavePreDiabetes.org. The 7-question test will help identify a person’s risk of becoming diabetic.
