Taking Applications: Grant Up to $125,000 to Develop and Implement a Concept to Deliver a New Model of Public Health

The Emerging Leaders in Public Health initiative equips local public health officers with knowledge and skills to transform the role of public health in their community.

Emerging Leaders in Public Health is designed to develop local public health leaders in pairs. This team of leaders challenge and support each other, and build skills and competencies together. Each team is composed of a health officer, the top leader in the organization, collaborating with a co-leader identified as an emerging leader from the same organization. 

In addition to receiving leadership coaching and development, each team receives a grant up to $125,000 to develop and implement a transformative concept designed to deliver a new model of public health for its community.

How to Apply 

Emerging Leaders in Public Health will recruit for Cohort III in Spring 2018 and the application period will begin on April 2, 2018. 

Applying for the Emerging Leaders in Public Health initiative is a two-step process.

  1. Complete the application request form by April 25, 2018. 
  2. Complete the online application between April 2 and April 30, 2018. Applicants will receive a unique application after completing the application request form.

The National Program Office will host two informational webinars to share more information about the third cohort of Emerging Leaders in Public Health. Please register in advance for the webinar. Webinars will be held on April 5at 3 p.m. ET and on April 11 at 2 p.m. ET.
