Reminder: Excellence in Schools Summit

Educators and administrators from across the country are expected to come together for the Excellence in Schools Summit on April 25-26 in Arvada, Colo. — and there’s still time to register for the big event!

The summit will explore how schools can improve academic performance through physical activity and wellness initiatives. Successful physical fitness programs such as the Red Hawk Movement, BOKS, the 100 Mile Club and the Walking Classroom will be highlighted, and policymakers and thought leaders will explore the connection between exercise and the brain’s performance.

Scheduled speakers include author John Ratey, whose book Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain shows how moderate exercise can sharpen thinking, and Kim Bevill, founder of the education consulting group Gray Matters.

The conference costs $150 for a single registration $130 per attendee for a group of three to 12 people. Click here for a full conference agenda and to register.
