Nominate a Youth Leader in your Community Today!
The Coalition for Community Schools is excited to launch its inaugural Youth Leadership Award to recognize a youth leader who strives for equity and social justice in their school and community.
That leadership comes in all forms and styles - leaders can be those in the front, advocating for a cause, or leading a youth group. Or they can be those leading by example, empowering their peers, or serving others.
To be eligible, the youth nominee must be:
- Ages 14-24 years old
- Is attending or has attended a community school, or is currently working with a community school
The selected award recipient will be invited to attend the National Forum (May 2-4 in Baltimore, MD) and speak at the Lunch Plenary on May 3 where they will receive their award. The Coalition hopes to secure scholarship money to cover hotel and travel costs.
Nominations are due March 7. Nominate a youth leader today!
