New Interactive Series to Explore the Topic of Health Equity

Last week, ChangeLab Solutions launched the Building Healthy, Equitable Communities Series – a virtual space to discuss how law and policy coupled with community power can catalyze new opportunities for everyone to achieve their full health potential.

Between April and November, this publicly accessible series offers 6 strategic trainings — each comprising a blog post, a webinar, and a continued conversation session — that examine a range of topics from food systems to the built environment to preemption. Attend all the trainings or choose the ones that best address your needs and mission.

Each episode will highlight and create conversations about

  • the consequences of laws and policies that don’t take health equity into account — and how we can respond;
  • on-the-ground stories and innovations from community health leaders;
  • technical tools and resources to support your work in changemaking for health; and
  • thought partnership on strategic approaches, implementation, and enforcement.

Currently, the April episode is up, and it’s all about health equity as a principle and practice. You can read the blog about common local laws that may be doing more harm than good, join us for a webinar that connects the dots between health equity and law and policy on April 24, and engage with a panel of health equity experts at a continued conversation session on April 26.

ChangeLab will be releasing future episodes in the coming months, so make sure to check back in or join ChangeLab’s mailing list to receive notifications and please share with your networks!
