Systems for Action is a national program that aims at discovering and applying new evidence that supports a culture of health. This program goes beyond public health and medical care systems, and looks at other areas that affect health including, transportation, social services, housing, and education.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has issued a call for proposals through May 5, 2017, for the 2017 Systems for Action program. The goal of this call is to fund research that supports new scientific evidence on ways to optimize delivery and financing systems in ways that improve health and reduce inequities. This program, as well as RWJF’s other three signature research programs, Evidence for Action, Policies for Action, and Health Data for Action (launching April 19, 2017), are investigating the impact of different types of programs, policies, and health-related systems on health, equity and well-being.
