New Data Show the Impact of Proposed SNAP Changes

More than 1 in 10 households in 20 states who depend on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) could lose their benefits under a proposed United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) rule that would restrict eligibility.

A Robert Wood Johnson Foundation-funded data interactive analyzes the state-level effects of the proposed SNAP rule, including total numbers of impacted households and participants along with characteristics of the affected population-such as families who live in poverty or have children.
