From the Network: Webinar on Coordinating School Health

Our friends at Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH) are hosting a webinar at 12 p.m. Eastern TODAY looking at coordinated school wellness programs.

The free, 45-minute webinar will feature presentations from Pam Tevis and Angela Balch from the Pasadena Independent School District, who will discuss how the CATCH program fits into their overall district wellness plan.

More than 8,500 school and afterschool programs have implemented CATCH, which is designed to promote healthy food choices, physical activity and the prevention of tobacco use. The goal is to show young people that eating healthy and being active can be fun, building healthy habits that can carry throughout their lives.

And in case you missed it, we posted a recording of Monday’s webinar that looked at how to use the F as in Fat report to create healthy communities. We had a lively discussion with a lot of great questions, so be sure to check it out.
