Job Posting: Improve Nutrition and Physical Activity Standards

Our friends at Child Obesity 180 are looking for a project manager to oversee efforts to improve nutrition and physical activity standards at out-of-school organizations in the New England area.

The job is part of Child Obesity 180’s Healthy Kids Out of School initiative, a three-year program that aims to refine standards at nine national organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of the USA, National Urban League and YMCA. The project manager would oversee regional implementation of the initiative at organization chapters in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

The initiative is funded by a grant from the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation. The project manager would oversee the implementation and evaluation of the initiative, which would include managing relationships with out-of-school organization officials, making regular site visits, producing and distributing outreach materials and supervising the work of others on staff.

Qualified candidates should have a master’s degree in a related area and three to five years of program or project management and evaluation experience. Ability to work nights and weekends during site visits is also a requirement.

To apply for the position, visit the Tufts University Career Center site and click on “advanced search.” Type “1234” into the search function and the project manager position should pop up.
