Job Opening: Safe Routes State Network Manager

 

Our friends at the Safe Routes to School National Partnership are looking for a “detail-oriented professional with strong policy campaign experience and advocacy skills” to serve as State Network Manager.

The manager will help lead advocacy campaigns in seven project states to leverage funding for bicycle and pedestrian projects, advance complete streets programs and facilitate shared-use agreements, with a focus on serving low-income communities. Other responsibilities include writing grant-related deliverables and assisting in fundraising efforts.

Qualifications include a minimum five years experience developing and implementing successful campaign and advocacy strategies, strong coalition building skills; knowledge of safe routes to school programs; active transportation, shared use agreements and health initiatives related to reversing childhood obesity; experience providing technical assistance to groups and individuals and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Located in “your home office” with a starting salary of $60,000 to $70,000, the position is currently funded through December 2014.
