The nonprofit group America Walks is seeking a national coalition director for its Every Body Walk! Collaborative, a new multi-sector partnership designed to get more Americans walking.
The director will be charged with “leading, strategizing and guiding the work of the collaborative,” including relationship building with partner organizations. Additional responsibilities include representing America Walks at the national and local government levels, conducting policy analysis, developing case studies promoting walking, identifying and applying for funding and leading workshops and presentations to increase walking initiatives nationwide.
Qualifications include at least seven years of related experience, higher education or advanced training, and successful project management experience. The ideal candidate also has experience in coalition development; excellent written communication, oral presentation, leadership and organizational skills; and proficiency in online communication platforms.
Compensation includes a starting salary between $65,000 and $75,000 depending on experience. The position’s location is flexible, depending on “your home office.”
