Affordable Care Act Study: Poor Knowledge of the Act Leads to Negative Opinion of ACA

A study released this past week during the American Public Health Association’s (APHA) 143rd Annual Meeting in Chicago shows that people who have a poor understanding of the Affordable Care Act are more likely to have negative opinions about it.

The study received nearly 500 responses about the Affordable Care Act from the 2013 Douglas County Community Health Survey from Nebraska, and 56.7 percent incorrectly answered questions about the law, with only four percent of respondents answering all four questions correctly.
