New Resources: Constructive Classroom Rewards

With the release of the final rule to update the requirements for local school wellness policies, CSPI has updated its fact sheet and developed an infographic on constructive classroom rewards.  The resources encourage teachers not to use junk food as rewards for good behavior or academic performance.

Schools should provide healthy food environments for students. Awarding candy and other unhealthy foods undermines children’s diets and models unhealthy eating.
