Webinars Tackle New Physical Activity Guidelines

Our friends at NC Prevention Partners are teaming up with the National Physical Activity Plan Alliance and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) for a two-part webinar series on physical activity.

The first webinar, titled “U.S. National Physical Activity Plan: Guidelines for Americans to be Physically Active Where they Live, Work, and Play,” is slated for 3:30 p.m. ET on Aug. 6. Dr. Russell Pate of the Alliance and Dr. William Kraus from Duke University Medical Center will provide an overview of the new U.S. National Physical Activity Plan. The duo also will offer strategies for increasing physical activity among Americans.

The webinar is free. Click here to register.

On Sept. 17, Dr. Katrina Butner from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ ODPHP will discuss Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans Midcourse Report: Strategies to Increase Physical Activity Among Youth.
