The Seeds of Native Health campaign, administered by the Notah Begay III Foundation, announced on April 4, that 11 tribes and native-led organizations would be receiving grants to improve Native American health and nutrition. These grants, totaling $387,438, include a variety of initiatives, including developing community gardens, wellness assessments, and educational programs.

Combining these grants with the ones awarded in 2015, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux and the Notah Begay III Foundation have now supported 25 projects that are working to improve Native American health and nutrition. Learn more about the grant recipients here.
