Engaging Millennials in Advocacy

Are you or your organization reaching millennials successfully? How are you engaging a generation that is constantly plugged in?

nullLast year, millennials surpassed Baby Boomers as the nation’s largest living generation. Millennials are defined as those ages 18-34 who were born in the 1980s and 90s and are characterized as having increased use and familiarity with communications technologies. Their numbers continue to grow as young immigrants add to the numbers in this group more than any other demographic. The Millennial generation is projected to peak in 2036.

So how can organizations maximize their reach of the millennial moment? Millennials are an emergent political force. By engaging and empowering them online, advocacy groups can help strengthen their own causes. Going forward, these groups must continue to adapt to new technologies and preferences. After all, millennials won’t be the last generation to shake things up. Phone2Action has uploaded a webinar, Plugged in with Purpose: How to Engage Millennials in Advocacy, that discusses how to address this issue.
