Tweet with MomsRising and PreventObesity.net for #FoodFriday

PreventObesity.net is excited to partner with our friends at MomsRising for #FoodFriday each week, in which we spend a full hour tweeting about important food policy, including efforts to make school meals healthier.

We would love for you to tweet with us this Friday for a special holiday-themed tweet chat, in which we’ll hold a multifaceted conversation about the food families consume at home, work and school.

To take part, sign onto Twitter between 1 and 2 p.m. Eastern time and follow the hashtag #FoodFriday. You can take part in the conversation by using that same hashtag with your own tweets.

We will likely be tweeting about the importance of healthy school food, including through the new school meal guidelines being implemented this year in schools across the country. We’ll also share news from the childhood obesity movement.

Other topics likely to be discussed include healthy holiday food wishes in school snack lines, remixing food favorites to make them healthier and even a few personal stories or recipes.

The tweet chat is a great way to interact with others in the movement and share your ideas and work with others interested in the issue. We hope to see you on Twitter on Friday!
