Hosts Josh McCormack and Rick Carrillo invite a new guest working on Latinx issues – from social concerns to health problems – on the weekly show. The guest offers his or her expertise and insight into the complex issues all communities, but specifically the Latinx community, face.

For example, in its inaugural episode, “On Fire,” Salud Talks heard from Dolores “DeeDee” Belmares, the Texas Field Consultant for Moms Clean Air Force, and Dr. Juan Declet-Barreto, a climate scientist with the Union of Concerned Scientists. The pair discussed the climate crisis and how it is impacting and will continue to impact Latinos and all Americans.

The podcast, which began on September 4, airs a new episode each Wednesday. Find out how you can listen in and even participate as a guest by visiting Salud Talks online.
