Heart Heads to the White House

How do we improve cardiovascular health in America?  That the question nearly 200 American Heart Association advocates will discuss with administration officials when they gather at the White House on September 9, 2016.  The briefing, “Making Health Care Better: Cardiovascular Health”, will feature CDC Director Tom Frieden, Let’s Move! Executive Director Debra Eschmeyer, and NHLBI Director Dr. Gary H. Gibbons, along with survivors, caregivers, medical professionals, and partners who will share their stories and insights.

The event will showcase the progress that has been made over the past 8 years through research, innovation, and healthy living to improve cardiovascular health, while issuing a renewed call to action to our nation’s leaders (present and future) to prioritize the goal of an America free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
