Disability and Premature Deaths from Heart Disease can be Lowered, Globally

Do fruits and vegetables have the ability to save hearts? A new analysis says they do.

A recent study found that a reduction in vegetables and fruits can affect the number of heart disease-related disability-adjusted life years (DALYs). A low intake of fruits accounted over 57 million DALYs while vegetable accounted more than 44 million DALYs.  Read the full article here.
